Our Campus Wardrobe Necessities

We bet y'all have seen some of the other fabulous bloggers doing the #BloggersBTS posts, and we will be doing them too! Each week there is a different theme to tie in to back to school, and this week's theme is fashion! We will be posting all of our #BloggersBTS posts at night so you have time to catch up on all of the other great posts! It’s time for classes to start again, which means it’s time to make sure your closet has everything you need to look awesome while walking around campus. There are some items that every girl needs in her closet to make sure she is turning heads. We know what it takes to be the best looking srat star on campus. Here is a list of our campus favorites:

Norts:

A staple in every girl’s closet perfect for intramural flag football, going to the gym, or just walking around campus. Norts are perfect because they are so lightweight and comfortable, and they can be worn with a cute tank top or oversized t shirt.

Nike’s:

Obviously this can go hand in hand with the norts. Get some good comfortable sneakers for this school year, especially if you are going to a school with a big campus. This will help you from getting blisters on your feet, and will also be useful for any philanthropy 5k’s you might need to do. There are so many cute Nike’s that it’s hard to go wrong!

Shep Shirt:

Well this is a must for every girl and every guy. Shep shirts are one of our absolute favorite items of clothing ever!! I have 4 Shep shirts, and wear them all the time. They are perfect for any time of the year. You can bring it to the beach in case it gets a little windy, wear it under your rain jacket for extra warmth, or just wear it all the time like I do. A Shep shirt looks so much cuter than a regular sweatshirt, so even if you feel like bummin’ it you still look good. Now we know you’re probably thinking “I’m a poor college student, how am I supposed to afford one of those?” Uh...Whalehouse Sale!! I got 2 of my Shep shirts from Whalehouse sales for $60 each. Vineyard Vines is our favorite brand ever, so soon we will have a Whalehouse sale tracker under our ‘Other Fun Stuff’ tab to keep you updated. You whale love this item! (we love whale jokes)

Long Sleeve Oxford Button Down:

This classic item is so versatile it will fit all of your campus needs. An important thing to any college student is making sure you will be able to use any item in your closet multiple ways, so you can get the most bang for your buck. This button down is perfect for job interviews, class presentations, with a skirt to brunch, just to wear to class, or even to wear over your bathing suit on the beach so you don’t get a terrible sunburn. ALWAYS get the long sleeve button down and roll up the sleeves. It looks much classier and much more put together than getting the short sleeve version. There are so many ways to wear this, which is why we both keep a white, blue, and then a fun color in our closet!

Ray Bans:

Everyone needs a pair of Ray Ban because...well, I can’t think of a reason not to get them. There are so many different kinds from Aviator, Wayfarer, Clubmaster, Round etc. that you really can’t go wrong. You can get different tints like the ones in this pitcure, or just go for the classic look. We recommend getting polarized lenses to help block glare and reduce the strain on your eyes in the sun. I got my Ray Bans from Nordstrom because they have an amazing return policy. I bought my Ray Bans there 2 years ago, and at the end of the school year they got squished and didn’t sit on my face correctly. I brought them to Nordstrom with my case (Nordstrom puts a bar code in the case to scan for these purposes, or if you have a copy of the receipt that works fine), showed them the problem and they gave me a brand new pair! It was amazing.

Southern Proper Frat Hat or Vineyard Vines Hat:

Who doesn’t need to sport a cute hat? Perfect for when you wake up late for class or are having a bad hair day. You will be sporting the best preppy brands with these hats, and it’s just casual enough to look like you didn’t try too hard but you still look good.

Pearls:

Obviously one of our favorites!! The saying "classy girls wear pearls" could not be more true. I wear my pearl earrings every day whether I’m dressing it down with my Nikes and norts, or wearing my Shep shirt and polo.I also love love love my KJP pearl bracelet!
