Clothes and Accessories Worth Investing In

There are some classic looks that have been around for decades (in some cases centuries) and will NEVER go out of style. It can be expensive to get brand name everything, so here are a few pieces that will be worth spending extra money on because chances are you will be able to pass them to your children if they last.

  1. Pearls- If you have your great grandmother’s, congratulations you just saved some money. Pearls are the perfect compliment to a polo or a little black dress...or pretty much any clothing item. It might be worth having one nice set that are real and a few other fake sets that can be worn more casually.

  2. Little Black Dress- YOU NEED THIS. I hope you have one in the closet while you are reading this. Little black dresses are perfect for every single occasion. It can be dressed up or dressed down. Also, black dresses are used for lots of sorority ceremonies, so it may be worth having at your disposal.

  3. Polo Button-Down Oxford Shirts- A button down shirt is good for everything: for under your business casual blazer, for under a nice cable-knit sweater, or for casually with a pair of pastel-colored shorts and brown belt. Ralph Lauren has the best quality shirts, and you can even get them monogrammed.

  4. Sperry’s- More so for your boyfriend, but boat shoes add a touch of class to any outfit. The origin of boat shoes trace back to rich yacht owners, so they are practically the definition of class and a higher standard of living.

  5. Vineyard Vines Anything and Everything (especially Shep shirts)- If you aren’t sure why this is an item on this list, you are on the wrong website, and I need to kindly ask you to leave because you are undeserving of my opinions.

  6. Basically Anything American- MURICA is my favorite country and American flag is my favorite pattern. When you wear anything with a flag, you are saying that you have been running this shit since 1776.

  7. Ray Bans- the classic aviator sunglasses have the magical ability to look good on almost anyone. I know people who wear their parent’s aviators from the 70s and they are still going strong. This is definitely a part of your sunny day look that will never not work.
