What’s the best part about starting a new school year? Obviously filling up your new social calendar. Before you do that, you might want to take a second to remember that if you want a social life you need to keep up your grades. Greek organizations, some clubs, and scholarships have GPA requirements, so make sure you make time to work before you have fun. We have put together a list of everything you need to stay on top of your A game. We have put together a list of school supplies that will help you stay organized in classes, and tips on how to organize your day to get as much as you can done.

Vera Bradley Study Buddy: I absolutely love my study buddy! Inside are 100 notecards, which are lined on both sides. I love these note cards because they are thicker, making them more sturdy and therefore less likely to rip or tear when I throw in my backpack. There are section dividers in the study buddy that also comes with a sheet of labels perfect for organizing by chapter or topic. I love my study buddy because it’s super easy to carry around, and it makes it so much easier to stay organized when my notecards are all in one place. Vera Bradley often has these on sale for 50% off, or I go on retailmenot.com and look for a coupon at the Paper Store! Plus, look how cute it is! It makes me excited to study.

Lilly Planner: If you don’t already have one of these then what are you even doing with your life?! Lilly planners are every preppy girl’s back-to-school must have. There are weekly and monthly pages perfect for writing down assignments and important dates. There is even a notes section and a dates to remember’ page. I usually get the large agenda, and this year I got the Wild Confetti pattern which is super cute. I can fit everything from homework, tests, chapter meetings, and even football game times. This is the perfect agenda to map out your academic and social life.

Other Tips and Tricks!
Do your assignments in between classes! While you have the information fresh in your head you should get the work done, plus maximizing your time is key in college. Go to the library or even sit outside, but make sure you won’t have too many distractions so you can actually get shit done. It will give you more time to go out and have fun later.
Exercise right after your last class of the day. In high school if you played a sport, you would go to practice right after school. Do the same in college, that way you have a set exercise routine. It’s very easy to let exercising slip away from you in college. You will probably start to eat crap since most college students do, so avoid the freshman 15. You’ll also feel so much better after working out, so reward yourself with a Pineapple Surf from Smoothie King.
Try to get group projects done early. Unfortunately, the infamous group project still exists in college. I had 8 group projects freshman year with all of my different classes. Waiting until the weekend before to try to schedule a time to meet is not at all a good idea. People have extremely different schedules in college with classes, work, clubs, and other commitments. It’s important to find time early on. In some of my group projects, we met at the Starbucks on campus since it was centrally located. Another tip: set aside two hours to work. I’ve found that an hour is barely any time to get things done because a lot of the time you end up talking about how annoying the last exam was.
